RUNNER PEANUTS ONLY

American Peanut Growers Group, LLC shells only Runner type peanuts. We do not handle Virginia, Spanish, or Valencia varieties, or inshell peanuts.

Our specifications for shelled peanuts are based on rules set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the National Peanut Standards Board and the American Peanut Shellers Association (APSA). APSA specifications can be found on their website under “Trading Rules” at www.peanut-sheller.org.

Mandatory and optional testing is performed by USDA and J. Leek Associates www.jlaglobal.com. Federal State Inspection Service (FSIS), which is regulated by USDA, grades each lot of shelled peanuts at our shelling plant. A Grade Certificate and Aflatoxin Certificate is provided with each load showing its compliance to the Grade Standards set by the governing associations. A variety of other optional tests can be performed by each customer’s request.

GRADING AND PACKAGING

APGG sells four grades of shelled edible Runner peanuts:

Jumbos - 38/42 count per ounce
Mediums - 45/55 count per ounce
          No. 1’s - 70/80 count per ounce

We also sell 14/16’s (Bird Feed grade) and bulk Oil Stock.

Peanuts are packaged in Poly Tote Bags (also known as Super Sacks or Bulk Bags). We also contract bulk loading of shelled peanuts straight into bulk railcars and/or bulk semi trucks without any other packaging.
